Community Spotlight : Tomotsugu Nakamura

Meet Tomotsugu, a CrossFit enthusiast who has been training at ACROSS FITNESS since April 2024. He initially joined to prepare for a Spartan Race but soon found that CrossFit offered much more. For Chiji, CrossFit is not just about physical fitness; it’s a way to train his mind and improve his mental clarity. In just five months, he’s noticed significant changes in both his body and daily life, feeling stronger and more focused. What keeps him motivated? The ever changing workouts and the supportive community that pushes him to achieve new personal bests.

What made you decide to start?

I first visited the area to practice for the Spartan Race.

What are your fitness goals or objectives?

For me, training my body is also training my head and heart, and I do CrossFit to organize my thoughts and improve my mental health.

What is the most enjoyable thing about doing CrossFit?

Achieving the daily menu is a small happiness, and then it increases one’s self-efficacy.

**What do you love about the ACROSS FITNESS box & community?

I used to not like weight training, but when I train in a group, I have the support of others and can finish the workout. so I feel a sense of accomplishment after the workout.

**Have you noticed any changes in your daily life since you joined the ACROSS FITNESS box?

My muscle has increased and I feel like my concentration has improved.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about starting CrossFit?

Coaches are smart and passionate,They help you train without injury. And there are people with different backbones and you can learn a lot about life.
