Community Spotlight : Timothy & Emily

Timothy and Emily have been devoted to CrossFit at ACROSS FITNESS for 1.5 years. Emily began during the Covid pandemic to get more active, while Timothy joined to share a hobby with her. Timothy aims to master double unders, and Emily wants to achieve a strict pull-up. They love the community aspect, with Timothy enjoying the leaderboard and Emily bonding with others over post-workout discussions. They encourage newcomers to try CrossFit and adjust the workouts to their level.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

Tim : 1.5 years Emily : 1.5 years

What made you decide to start?

Tim: to do the same hobby as Emily Emily: during Covid, I was barely getting hundred steps a day so I wanted to to be more active

What are your fitness goals or objectives?

Tim: I still can’t do double under after 1.5 years so that Emily: do to 1 strict pull up

What is the most enjoyable thing about doing CrossFit?

Tim: being on the leader board Emily : complaining about the workout with other members

What do you love about the ACROSS FITNESS box & community?

Tim: beating I mean seeing my friends Emily: there are people at different fitness levels which makes me feel like I fit in

*Have you noticed any changes in your daily life since you joined the ACROSS FITNESS box?

Tim: my entire personality is just gym Emily: my husband has abs now

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about starting CrossFit?

Tim: they should do it Emily: just scale
