I was taken there. I had no intention of doing it at all, but someone encouraged me by saying, “Just try it for one month.” That became the trigger, and I started going twice a week.
What has been the most enjoyable thing about doing CrossFit?
When I am able to do things that I could not do before.
Is there someone you admire or aim to become like? Why?
I respect all the members and coaches who train at H&B. Seeing them make time to train hard despite being busy with work and family always gives me encouragement.
What is your favorite CrossFit workout?
Muscle-up
Do you have any advice for people who are thinking of starting?
I personally had no real sports background, and since I was already over 30 years old, I initially felt the barrier was very high and had no intention of starting. I remember that even just running 400 meters during the warm-up was extremely tough. Of course, there was not a single thing I could properly do at first. I still have many weaknesses, but the reason I have been able to continue is because of the great coaches and the people I have met through CrossFit. The joy and sense of achievement of being able to do things you could not do before is something you cannot experience elsewhere!!
